Samoa here we come, again

August 23, 2008

We’re just kicking our feet around in Nadi again today, nursing an Ed’s bar hangover. It was particularly good last night full of Japanese students and Papa New Guineans who are desperate to try and sell their country as a new destination.

We’re flying to Samoa tonight at 0200, it’s gonna be fantastic being back in Apia. Already got Hotel Kitano lined up for a sushi feast followed by some partying in The Lighthouse. Naturally we will be dropping by our old friend Courtney’s bar Cocktails On The Rocks first.

The Yasawa Islands: Nacula

The quality of accommodation and service is really top-notch.

It’s a breathtaking place and I highly recommend it for a relaxing beach holiday. It’s essentially the second best place in The Yasawas to stay after Turtle Island. Go there!

This spot is right at the top of the Yasawa group and is meant to have the best snorkelling possible. It is also the location of the setting of both the original Blue Lagoon movie and the more contemporary remake starring Brooke Shields.

There are a number of swanky resorts including Nanuya Lai Lai Island Resort and the highly opulent Turtle Island Resort, where Britney Spears chose to spend her honeymoon. Jennifer Aniston is currently staying there at the time of visiting.
